Course Description :
The clinical sessions will provide the student with the opportunity to provide multi-disciplinary care for patients through orthodontic and restorative consultation.  During the first semester, students will be required to attend 1 month clinical rotations in oral surgery clinics to offer sufficient clinical experience to enable the student to achieve competency in the assessment and management of orofacial trauma, infections, and dental pain, surgical exposure of teeth and surgical removal of supernumerary teeth.
This course aims to apply the knowledge and techniques learned by the postgraduate in the previous courses by clinical application.
During the second semester, the student will be required to attend 1 month clinical rotations in each of pediatric clinics with the goal to expose the student to the practice of pediatric medicine to gain knowledge and experience in the management of healthy and sick children, adolescents, and those with special health care needs and general anesthesia (including cardiac pulmonary resuscitation, CPR) and emergency departments.
Also the students will be required to attend the pediatric dentistry specialty clinic and dental treatment of children under general anesthesia one day case unit at JUH.
